In order to promote growth and development of the newborn baby, it is necessary to provide a well-nourished diet. Besides this, for the healthy development of the child’s brain, one must include various superfoods. Thus, when your doctor agrees to start giving solid food to your baby, one must include some specialized food items in the diet.
- Yoghurt: It contains calcium, vitamin D and probiotics in them. You can give it to a 6 months old baby. You must make it at home, using the fresh milk. In order to get rid of the problem of #diarrhoea, you can give yoghurt to your baby.
- Bananas: They have a good amount of carbohydrates in them, which helps to provide the energy to the body. It also provides fibre which makes the process of #digestion easy and healthy. You can easily mash the same and give it to your baby, aged 6 months and above.
- Sweet potato: It can be given to the babies aged 10 months and above.It contains potassium, vitamin C, fibre, beta-carotene in a good amount. Your baby may like those boiled and mashed potatoes, due to their sweetness.
- Chia seeds: They are rich in antioxidants and calcium. It contains a good amount of omega 3 fatty acid, fibres, iron, potassium, proteins etc. It helps to keep the baby healthy and fit. Chia seeds can be given to the babies aged 8 months and above.
- Eggs: They are rich in various nutrients and protein. Focus on giving the yellow part of the egg (egg yolk), which helps in the development of the brain. You can start egg yolk diet after 11-12 months.
- Avocados: As compared to other fruits, it contains a good amount of nutrients. It contains a high amount of proteins and monosaturated fats. They can be fed as early as 4-6 months. It helps to make the baby feel satiated and also settle the hunger of the baby. Besides this, it helps in the healthy growth of the child.
