A very common problem that affects women and teenage girls who have reached puberty can be called as vaginal odour. The vagina, uterus, or cervix can produce a clear or whitish fluid called as vaginal discharge. The consistency and colour will depend on whether you are on your monthly period. The symptoms are itching and vaginal pain, fishy smell, pain during intercourse, thick white discharge and excessive white discharge.

You may get vaginal discharge due to bacterial infections, sexually transmitted infections like Chlamydia, gonorrhoea and so on, vaginal yeast infection, if you leave tampon down there, using harmful chemicals in the form of soaps to clean the vaginal area and so on. You can opt for baking soda: It can help you to bring your pH levels back to normal and this can tackle fungi and bacteria and can help you to deal with that foul smell. What really causes menstrual cramps?

Menstrual cramps are caused due to the excessive contractions of the uterine and abdominal muscles to discharge the menstrual fluid out of the body. These muscle contractions are caused by various chemicals that may also include prostaglandins, which is why we are asked to avoid certain foods and beverages that are responsible for instigating the production of this chemical.

It is believed to be a common Chinese old wives' tale that drinking cold water leads to reduced temperature in the intestines that makes it difficult for the intestines to absorb essential nutrients. Moreover, it may cause acne. Cold foods like ice creams and chilled desserts may lead to severe cramps further worsening the condition.

According to Health Practitioner and Macrobiotic Health Coach, Shilpa Arora, "While you are on your period, you should avoid drinking cold water and eating cold foods as they worsen menstrual cramps. The muscles in the ovary and the vaginal walls tense up. These muscles cannot stretch further, which is why it leads to discomfort. For easy blood flow, drink warm water and avoid very cold and sugary items to keep away the inflammation."

All this, however, depends from person to person. Every woman has a different body system that works according to the different doshas of the body. While most may feel absolutely okay after consuming cold items, some may experience severe cramps. Our suggestion is to know what your body is used to and act accordingly. However, taking precaution doesn't hurt either. Eat and drink items that help produce heat in the body in order to let the blood flow without hampering your health. Include more green leafy vegetables, nuts, whole grains and green tea in your diet to ensure happy and healthy periods.

* Khus Grass: The anti-bacterial and antifungal properties in Khus Grass soothe and refresh irritated skin. This herb is known for its anti-perspirant and astringent properties, which keep baby dry throughout the day.

* Chickpea: Chickpea is rich in antioxidants and cleans, soothes, and nourishes your little one’s skin. A Chickpea-based shampoo brings shine to baby’s hair. It also helps cleanse the baby’s body.

* Five-Leaved Chaste Tree: The anti-bacterial and antifungal properties of Five-Leaved Chaste Tree help in treating skin infections and reduce redness, inflammation, and diaper rash.

मुलतानी माती चेहऱ्याच्या देखभालीसाठी अत्यंत उपयुक्त आहे. विशेषतः तेलकट त्वचेसाठी ती अतिशय फायदेशीर ठरते. यासाठी मुलतानी माती आणि मिल्क पावडर समान प्रमाणात घ्या. त्यात पाणी घालून त्याची पेस्ट बनवा. गुलाबपाण्याचे काही थेंब घाला. त्यानंतर चेहऱ्याला लावा. सुकल्यानंतर कोमट पाण्याने चेहरा धुवा.

निस्तेज त्वचेवर तजे आणण्यासाठी चमचाभर मिल्क पावडरमध्ये दोन चमचे लिंबाचा रस घाला. नंतर हे मिश्रण चेहऱ्याला लावा. सुकल्यावर पाण्याने स्वच्छ धुवा.

पिंपल्सने त्रासले असाल तर मिल्क पावडरमध्ये मध आणि गुलाबपाणी घाला. पॅक चेहऱ्यावर १५ मिनिटे ठेवा आणि नंतर थंड पाण्याने चेहरा धुवा.

केसर असल्यास मिल्क पावडरमध्ये मिसळा आणि पेस्ट बनवा. हा पॅक चेहऱ्याला लावा. सुकल्यानंतर साध्या पाण्याने चेहरा स्वच्छ स्वच्छ पाण्यात धुवा.
